French Hook Earrings

Our best selling item, combining unique handmade glass chips and quality sterling silver findings, french hook earrings come in three sizes : small, large and extra large. Like a snowflake, no two pairs are ever exactly the same, however the different shades and patterns can be reproduced over and over again. For 2008 we will be featuring mosaic and "marbleized paper" patterns in different colors for each season.

This mosaic, inspired by French impressionist oil paintings, is very soft and calming, white based but with flashes of complementary colors in the pattern. 	These flameworked glass earrings blend beautiful earth tones of warm oranges, subtle browns, rich ambers and dusky yellows. A larger frit size is used to give the mosaic detail a deeply contoured appearance. Available in small, large and extra large french hook sizes, matching necklace pendants also available.

	This pair shows a triangle shape, hand cut from the end of a flameworked glass pod. These earrings also come in square and geometric shapes in the small, large and extra large sizes. Large size frit is used to allow for depth of design within the pattern and to maximize the dusky silver effect in the "valleys" between the blue "peaks" which is caused by heavy metals in the glass colorant being released by the prolonged heat of the torch.
